1. Re: Inprocess off heap storage
ges May 5, 2015 12:19 PM (in response to rlachu)There were discussions about this a while back and there is an open JIRA - [ISPN-871] Out-of-heap data container implementation - JBoss Issue Tracker
It would be helpful if someone from the ISPN team could provide an update on this. I'm pretty interested in this as well.

nadirx May 6, 2015 3:39 AM (in response to ges)Hi,
yes, I've had other more important tasks to work on, so this has been set aside for a while. However I have made some progress and I hope to have something to show relatively soon.
Other things worth mentioning in this context:
- we will soon have size-based eviction (on heap)
- The Shenandoah team is working on a low-pause GC for the JVM (Infinispan is one of the test guinea pigs), so that you get the benefits of GC even with huge heaps.

ges May 6, 2015 12:48 PM (in response to nadirx)Hi Tristan,
Thanks for the update and good to hear that there is some progress in this space. I look forward to it.
Yes, Shenandoah is something very exciting, nice to know that Infinispan is being tested against it.
Thanks,
Gesly
