1. Re: JSON Object graph marshalling/unmarshalling in Errai?
csa Apr 16, 2014 6:04 PM (in response to steeveb)Hi Steeve,
Errai JAX-RS supports interacting with REST endpoints that use Jackson for serializing/deserializing JSON. It does this by transforming from/to Errai's JSON format on the client.
There are currently no plans to switch Errai's format to Jackson or add an additional marshaller for plain Jackson. Errai JSON supports more features and therefore carries extra data (i.e. type information).
Can you elaborate on your use case?
Cheers,
Christian

Thank you for your answer. To give you a clear idea, i would like to use the Jackson feature described here:
http://wiki.fasterxml.com/JacksonFeatureObjectIdentity
I suppose that for the time being, i have to deserialize it "manually" on client side?

csa Apr 21, 2014 11:37 AM (in response to steeveb)Hi,
Yes, unless you're switching to Errai marshalling, you will have to deserialize this manually. However, it's worth mentioning that Errai Marshalling supports this feature as well (cyclic graphs using object identities).
Cheers,
