swapnesh Mar 13, 2014 3:30 AM (in response to malli)There is no theoretical limit on Max Pool Size. You should choose it as per your application needs i.e. depending upon average and peak db connections etc.
Usually what database enforce is an limit on maximum number of concurrent connections to any single server. Usually this is very high and we need not worry about it in most cases.

4. Re: How to create the JDBC connections in the jboss 5.1 ? How to change the Data source username and password?
wdfink Mar 13, 2014 5:56 AM (in response to malli)A problem might be that you reach a maximum for your database and not able to open new connections.
Or you hold too much resources and run into GC issues.
Anyway, you should monitor the application and set the pool according to your needs, a good practice is to use min=max (or max only with a small reserve) to prevent from open/close a lot
