1. Re: Supported adapter details for switchyard

There are three gateways in SwitchYard at the moment:- SOAP
- HornetQ
- Camel
The list is short and a bit misleading, since you can use the Camel gateway to talk email, ftp, file, jms, etc. For the 0.4 release, we plan to add a REST gateway based on RESTEasy. In 0.5, we will pick up JCA inflow and possibly port some other gateways from JBoss ESB.
cheers,

rskarthikeyan Feb 1, 2012 10:12 PM (in response to kcbabo)Thanks Keith. I would like to know another thing. How to interact with SAP? that is also through Camel?

kcbabo Feb 2, 2012 9:58 AM (in response to rskarthikeyan)1 of 1 people found this helpfulYou could go with SOAP-based web service integration or through SAP's Java API (called JCo, IIRC). The former option should work just fine with our SOAP gateway. For the latter, there are three options:
1) Write your own gateway using the JCo APIs directly.
2) Look for a Camel component that already provides this integration. (interesting recent thread)
3) Use a JCA adapter once we support a JCA gateway in 0.5.

4. Re: Supported adapter details for switchyard
rskarthikeyan Feb 2, 2012 11:50 AM (in response to kcbabo)Once again thanks Keith.
I have been working on webMethods, Mule, WSO2. Now, started explore in JBoss ESB and Switchyard and I am finding very difficult to get the technical specifications on the same. Whereas in other ESB the detailed data sheet is provided.
For example, Mule data sheet link: http://www.mulesoft.com/downloads/mule-esb.pdf
I am expecting such a kind, Why dont you provide for JBoss ESB/Switchyard?

kcbabo Feb 2, 2012 9:27 PM (in response to rskarthikeyan)You'll see more glossy data sheets from us on the product side. For JBoss ESB (and eventually SwitchYard), that would be JBoss SOA Platform. Check here under the 'Resources' tab.
I like the table in that Mule datasheet. Provides a quick view of the various features. When I get a chance, I will throw something similar together on the community side for SwitchYard.

jossmy-d-alarcon Dec 9, 2013 10:59 AM (in response to kcbabo)Hello Keith Babo, I'm looking at the answers to this question, according to the q you say is that the connection to SAP can be given through the configuration of a JCA adapter?, if you can give this configuration needed to connect to SAP ?

kcbabo Dec 9, 2013 1:00 PM (in response to jossmy-d-alarcon)We provide a generic configuration interface for JCA resource adapters. The actual configuration and properties used for SAP depend on the resource adapter you choose to connect to SAP. Details on configuring our JCA gateway can be found here:
