1. Re: exploded war deployment using project archive
maxandersen Oct 17, 2012 6:25 AM (in response to guillaume.lancelin)You can just rename the .jar to .war. problem solved.
but any reason why you don't just create war project and deploy it without having to work directly with project archives?

guillaume.lancelin Oct 18, 2012 4:19 AM (in response to maxandersen)Hi Max,
Thx for your answer.
We are developping our own jsf components which are included in a jar file. At this time we need to restart JBoss when we modify an xhtml file which is not productive.
Any idea why Eclipse does not propose the other options (I had the same problem with Indigo on xp 32 bits) ?
I just saw than my plugins list was not in my previous post, you can see it above :

3. Re: exploded war deployment using project archive
maxandersen Oct 18, 2012 9:26 AM (in response to guillaume.lancelin)jboss tools server adapters by default explodes any deployments.
if the jar is a utility jar project it can be deployed in a war (excploded)

rob.stryker Oct 29, 2012 3:59 AM (in response to maxandersen)For completeness, I'd like to note that utility projects are themselves never deployed exploded. They can be deployed inside an exploded war, but the utility jar will be forcefully zipped up into its proper location inside the exploded war.
