Brendan, it's actually Ajax that is doing the work... and I don't think this will work under 4.0.

Thanks for that, no I think jsf 2 client behaviors have killed that approach so another way is needed, well, as I
see it one extra attribute is required and it's just a matter of thinking of a name and a bit of programming (and
testing).
