1. Arquillian vs Embeddable-EJB3
aslak Apr 9, 2011 6:13 PM (in response to rop)Embedded EJB was a fork of JBoss AS 5 that over time deviaded from the main tree and is as far as i know no longer in active development and is 'replaced' by JBoss AS Embedded 6 if anything at all. JBoss Embeddable has no EE6 support.
Arquillian is a test framework with a focus on testing deployments in Containers and can work just as well with a Remote JBoss AS server as JBoss AS Embedded (Or any other container like GlassFish, Jetty, Tomcat for that matter).
Arquillian is the recommended way for the now/future development.

mohammadwrk Apr 25, 2012 2:10 AM (in response to aslak)AFAIK, Embeddable EJB container is part of Java EE 6 spec (http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/gkcrr.html) and should be available in JBoss 7.1 as a Certified Java EE 6 Full Profile.

mohammadwrk Apr 25, 2012 11:48 AM (in response to aslak)However looks like JBoss has somehow stopped working on this feature :-( I'm having hard time to find documentaion on how to use Embeddable EJB with JBoss 7.1 (https://community.jboss.org/message/731765#731765).
