VPE doesn't work on Windows

Hi,

I'm trying to run Exadel Studio Pro 4.04a with Eclipse 3.2.1 on a Windows 2000 Professional computer. It seems to work fine except the visual page editor. When I try to open a JSP file, it says "The VPE editor can't be run because your system environment needs to be changed slightly". Click on that link shows info about Linux (but I am running Windows!).

Hi I have the same problem on Linux. It look like we all have to wait until the final release of Red Hat Developer Studio, but if someone have the solution to this problem I will be very glad.

The problem are different depending on what platform your are one (yeah - if just mozilla were implemented in java ;)

On linux it can be various things; missing c++ standard libraries or a missin g MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME environment variable.

On windows it should not fail because of these reasons, so would be good if you could report it in jira what os, and what steps you do to make it not-start.

Note: we are working on using the XULRunner work done in the ATF project which allows us to have much better os cross-platform (linux 32/64bit, windows and mac os/x) support for the mozilla integration - We hope that can make it into the final GA; but no promises yet.
