1. Re: org.teiid.jdbc.TeiidSQLException: java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException
shawkins Dec 22, 2011 1:34 PM (in response to gaoiran)What version of Teiid and the Teiid client are you using? Do you have a server-side timeout set? Is there a corresponding server-side exception in the log?

I'm using v7.5 for both Teiid server and client. There isn't a corresponding server-side exception in the log ($JBOSS_HOME/server/default/log/server.log). I'm using default settings for both teiid and jboss (jboss v5.1). Do you know which file the server-side timeout setting would be? I'm looking at the .xml files in $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/conf, $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy, $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy/teiid.

shawkins Dec 22, 2011 9:59 PM (in response to gaoiran)Jo,
With default settings the server-side timeout won't come into play. I believe there is a regression here from https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-1614. The remote call is probably being treated as synchronous and is subject to the default timeout of 4 minutes. A workaround is to change the value of org.teiid.sockets.synchronousttl in the teiid-client-settings.properties file. You can put an edited version in the classpath ahead of the client jar to override the defaults. I'll look into this more and log a JIRA as needed.
Thanks,
Steve

Modifying the teiid-client-settings.properties did the trick.
Thank you,
