1. Re: Messages getting left on a queue
clebert.suconic May 31, 2011 10:27 AM (in response to pmeekin)receiveImmediate is looking for messages immediately available on the queue. That's not currently including Paged Messages.
You can add a feature request if you like.

2. Re: Messages getting left on a queue
pmeekin May 31, 2011 10:34 AM (in response to clebert.suconic)Thanks Clebert. So am I right in thinking that a long enough wait interval gives the HornetQ server time to de-page messages back into memory so that they can then be delivered to my consumer program?
Is there really no current option to tell it to treat in-memory and paged messages in the same way?
Cheers,
Paul

3. Re: Messages getting left on a queue
clebert.suconic May 31, 2011 10:40 AM (in response to pmeekin)That would need code change to implement it. It's currently not looking into paged messages. That's why I said you could raise a JIRA.
If you used a timeout, it would wait the depage.

6. Re: Messages getting left on a queue
clebert.suconic May 31, 2011 2:33 PM (in response to pmeekin)Since I'm working on paging, I have Fixed it now on Branch_2_2_EAP (the product branch), and I will merge into trunk later this week.
however, you will need to ACK the messages in order to receive more messages from paging, otherwise you won't be able to read any messages from page-files (as a way to prevent OME on the system).
