2. Re: What is the jBPM5 Eclipse plugin link?
krisverlaenen Dec 6, 2010 8:09 PM (in response to satjo)You should download and install the jbpm plugin that you mentioned, as that allows you to create a simple jBPM5 project, create a runtime, etc. At this point, we would recommend you use the Drools Flow plugin for editing your BPMN2 files though (as the new jBPM5 BPMN2 editor isn't ready yet). So this means you just install that plugin alongside your jbpm plugin so that the Drools Flow editor will be used when you try to open a *.bpmn file. If you use the installer, it can generate a fully functional Eclipse environment for you to get started.
If you still have issues (like the one you mentioned above, which should be solved if you define your *.bpmn process inside a jBPMN5 project), please give me a concrete example of what might be failing and I'll look into it. You can find numerous examples here as well:

3. Re: What is the jBPM5 Eclipse plugin link?
satjo Dec 7, 2010 10:42 PM (in response to krisverlaenen)Thanks for the reply.
Some of the examples can not be opened in Eclipse. For example, the rule flow https://github.com/krisv/jbpm/blob/master/jbpm-persistence-jpa/src/test/resources/VariablePersistenceStrategyProcess.rf can not be opened as the variable types use the package org.jpm.*. If the types are changed to org.drools.*, the ruleflow can be seen, but the tests would fail as tests would expect org.jpm.*. It appears that this example uses latest package notation, whereas the eclipse still uses older package details for the variable types.

4. Re: What is the jBPM5 Eclipse plugin link?
krisverlaenen Dec 8, 2010 12:33 PM (in response to satjo)Yes, those examples you are referring to are still using the legacy .rf format, and will not be supported in jBPM5. The tests are still there as they test the persistence behaviour and haven't been upgraded to BPMN2 yet. We will be updating drools with the latest jBPM5 runtime as well, so then you will probably be able to open those examples as well, but for now I suggest you stick to the examples in the BPMN2 project:
