1. Re: WANTED: testers for upcoming 4.4 release
mcsawyer Jun 18, 2010 8:08 AM (in response to aguizar)Hello...
Now, I have jbpm 4.3 (with apache-tomcat-6.0.24).
Which is the correct steps for migrate to 4.4 ? I need do a migration because I had process instances running...
(I read the jBPM User Guide and I don't understand steps that I should do... )
I should run a upgrade.jbpm.schema?? I don't see upgrade-4.3-to-4.4 folder... then I supose that jBPM 4.4 DB schema is the same that 4.3...
Thanks!

2. Re: WANTED: testers for upcoming 4.4 release
aguizar Jun 18, 2010 1:51 PM (in response to mcsawyer)There are no database changes between 4.3 and 4.4; the new version is intended to be a drop-in replacement. As with every migration process, I would not suggest to attempt it on the live data (this goes without saying, I know). Note that the snapshot is stable from a quality engineering perspective, but we want the community to check it out for unforeseen issues.

swiderski.maciej Jun 20, 2010 4:43 AM (in response to aguizar)One thing worth to mention is that although schema has not changed but some data stored in db needs to be updated (property table that keep version number that it checked on process engine startup).

4. Re: WANTED: testers for upcoming 4.4 release
rebody Jun 21, 2010 5:00 AM (in response to swiderski.maciej)Hi guys,
Today I notice that the xsd schema of jbpm-4.4 was changed to http://jbpm.org/jpdl/4.4. It didn't like previous releasing, as http://jbpm.org/4.0/jpdl, http://jbpm.org/4.2/jpdl, http://jbpm.org/4.3/jpdl.
Is there any reason for doing that? I think it will be a little confusing for people to upgrade from previous version to jbpm-4.4.

rebody Jun 21, 2010 6:20 AM (in response to swiderski.maciej)And in ForEachTest.java and user guide, there were http://jbpm.org/4.4/jpdl for xsd schema. So I think we should decide a unique xsd schema for jBPM 4.4.

swiderski.maciej Jul 7, 2010 3:40 AM (in response to aguizar)Alejandro, could you please publish latest snapshot version of 4.4 to maven repository? There are quite few fixes that could be tested by community users that does not have possibility to build it themselves.
Cheers
