JBosssvc.exe (service) causes server reboot

Hi There,

I have a windows server 2008 R2 (64 bit) where jbosssvc.exe is running as a windows service.

now I am facing issue that when i stop this service the server gets rebooted suddenly.

as per windows minidump the server has been rebooted due to jbosssvc.exe [BUGCHECK_STR: 0xF4_jbosssvc.exe]

Anyone clue why its happening and any idea how i can prevent it in future.

I think this was a known issue where the service.bat used to call "shutdown" command instead of "shutdown.bat" (the one in JBOSS_HOME/bin folder).

Hi Jaikiran, Thanks for your response!!

I have two server and two Jboss instances on each the server. On all servers, all JBoss instances, the 'service.bat' refers to "shutdown" only but this sudden reboot occurs on one server only. other server is running fine since couple of years.
