Need some advice or insight on the ListWidget performance.

indicates that there are fixes to improve the ListWidget performance for larger numbers, and that the improvements are in 3.1.0-SNAPSHOT and 3.0.4-SNAPSHOT

- are there other performance enhancements planned/available?

- is there another approach that gives better performance (what about HTMLPanel?) or are there any other articles that can help?
