"false" alarms for availability of ExampleDS on JBoss EAP

      Hi,

we use RHQ 4.9.0 (JON 3.2.0) and configured alert definition for data sources to check their availability via traits. So configuration of that alert is quite simple:

Trait change [Connection Available?] with trait value matching 'false'

and that works fine for user defined data sources but fires alerts from time to time for ExampleDS that is unmodified definition that comes with JBoss EAP. Has anyone else ran into such issue?

      Can it be somehow mitigated?

Here is an example of a email that is sent when this alert fires for ExampleDS:

Subject: [ALERT] priority of [High] for alert [No connections available] on resource [ExampleDS]

Subject: [ALERT] priority of [High] for alert [No connections available] on resource [ExampleDS]

The resource ExampleDS has generated the following alert:

      ------------------------------------------

      Resource Name    : ExampleDS
Alert Name       : No connections available
      Alert Severity   : High
      Alert Date/Time  : Mon Jan 12 01:48:39 CET 2015
      Conditions:
        - Condition 1: Connection Available? Value Changed Matching Expression "false"
        - Date/Time: 2015/01/12 01:48:13 CET
        - Details: false

      Thanks

      Maciej
