From Teiid Designer 8.3 What's New, it seems that a LDAP data source importer was added. I am using Teiid designer 8.4. I could not find the LDAP importer when right click "Source" - Import. Here is the screen shot. Did I miss anything? Thanks in advance.
I suggest for product you use DV 6 and JBDS 8.3.2 versions. Do not use community versions. You can download them customer portal.

I am confused by the version. The version I downloaded is from download links on Red Hat JBoss Data Virtualization home page. Is the version community edition or trial version of production edition? Also anyone can provide the subscription price for about the product edition of the data virtualization?

No, it looks like the issue was reopened: [TEIIDDES-305] Create an importer for the LDAP Connector - JBoss Issue Tracker because it was not in the feature.xml to be picked up by Designer.

I think what Ramesh is saying is that if you have a subscription and wish to leverage Red Hat support, then stay on the production versions. Otherwise you are free to use the community versions as you see fit.

Community releases are "upstream" of the product releases. They will be several iterations ahead, then go through a productization effort including testing and bug fixing before being released as the product.

You'd have to contact Red Hat sales, for example http://www.redhat.com/products/jbossenterprisemiddleware/data-virtualization/ and use the contact sales link: http://www.redhat.com/contact/sales.html
After the upgrade to teiid designer 8.4.0.Final-v20140312-0402-B253, the LDAP shows up.
