    Cost of JBOSS and extending connectors

      Hi, just started looking at JBOSS DV.  First time I've looked at any JBOSS tools so my first question is what kind of cost is Jboss for a large scale implementation, and secondly, how easy is it to add new connectors (for example for Vertica or MapR Hadoop)?

          I suggest contacting RedHat sales for cost information. As per writing new connectors and translators, it depends upon the source type and developer's familiarity with source system and as well as Teiid APIs for writing them. It also depends on how much functionality you are trying to implement.  Vertica may be faster as it already provides SQL interface, where as MAPR may be considerable task.
