Weld 2.2.0.CR2 (CDI 1.2 reference implementation) released

Weld 2.2.0.CR2 is now released. See https://issues.jboss.org/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310891&version=12323957 for details.

For WildFly 8 users there is a patch provided at https://sourceforge.net/projects/jboss/files/Weld/2.2.0.CR2/

To install the patch simply run jboss-cli in your WildFly 8.0.0.Final installation and run the following command:

patch apply path/to/wildfly-8.0.0.Final-weld-2.2.0.CR2-patch.zip

Hmm, I don't see wildfly-8.0.0.Final-weld-2.2.0.CR2-patch.zip at http://sourceforge.net/projects/jboss/files/Weld/2.2.0.CR2/

I just tried the patch, but got the following error message. Is there a chance to apply the patch also to the latest WildFly snapshot for 8.0.1?

jboss-cli -c
[standalone@localhost:9990 /] patch apply wildfly-8.0.0.Final-weld-2.2.0.CR2-patch.zip
JBAS016840: Patch does not apply - expected (8.0.0.Final), but was (8.0.1.Final-SNAPSHOT)

I edited the patch.xml file inside the zip file, and changed 8.0.0.Final to 8.0.1.Final-SNAPSHOT. Also I appended --override-all to the patch command. The result: my web app is working, and there are no issues with WELD 2.2.0.CR2.

We do not provide an official patch for 8.0.1.Final-SNAPSHOT. However, the upcoming Weld 2.2.0.Final will be released with a patch against the latest WildFly 8.1.0.CR1.
