Data Cache

Hi. I'm a novice of Data Virtualization and have a couple of questions.

I think that Data Virtualization supports to cache data.

Q1) Where can we cache data (e.g. materialized view or in-memory cache)? Does JBoss DV have any RDB in it, or do we need to prepare any database for this purpose?

Q2) Is there any document which explains the above kind of architecture?

Shige,

DV has different types of caching.

Materilization
Internal memory and disk based. No RDBMS inside DV, its our DV's own buffer manager. This is distributed in cluster scenarios
External RDBMS based, to use this you need to prepare the database. you can generate the DDL for this from designer.
Resultset caching. This is also internal memory and disk based.
