I remember reading that alerting on an auto group isn't terribly reliable. For example, you create a dyna group of platforms, then add an alert definition to a group of all JBoss servers, when the group is recomputed the alert definition may be lost.

I'm wondering if this is the case and is there plans to fix this?

What about tagging an auto group? I'm using resource tagging in a novel way and would like them retained if possible.
