Within a month after WildFly 8.0.0.Alpha3 was released, a newer version WildFly 8.0.0.Alpha4 has now been released and available for downloads from the project download page http://wildfly.org/download/. This release is a continuation of moving towards the goals of WildFly 8 which Jason has listed in a previous mail here http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/jboss-as7-dev/2013-March/007884.html.The updated release schedule is available in a later mail here
      http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/wildfly-dev/2013-May/000062.html

This release contains many bug fixes and some new features. The new features are both in the EE7 area as well as WildFly specific features. The new EE7 features in this release include JMS 2.0 support. In addition to EE7, the WildFly specific features in this release include the Role Based Access Control (RBAC) for management operations as well as audit logging support for the management operations. These new domain management related features had been requested by the users after trying out our domain management support in AS7.

Another important aspect of this release is, it no longer ships JBoss Web as an alternate web server. Many of you already know that starting WildFly 8.0.0.Alpha1, we have been using Undertow as the default web server within WildFly. We also shipped a JBoss Web standalone configuration profile as a backup so that user applications won't be affected with any unforeseen issues. At this point though, Undertow has been stable enough to be the sole web server in WildFly and so we have removed the JBoss Web profile. In fact, those of you who haven't heard, Undertow has topped the performance benchmarks that were carried out by a thirdparty. The results of those benchmarks are here:

Related to this release, Kabir has already blogged about the audit logging feature here http://kabir-khan.blogspot.in/2013/08/setting-up-secure-audit-logging-to.html. Keep a watch on the jboss.org blog feeds to be notified of more such blogs about WildFly.
