    glamperi

The South California JBoss Users Group is really shaping up to be thee quarterly event to go to!

I just spoke with Burr Sutter, Senior Product Manager at Red Hat/JBoss, if you don't know Burr, He has delivered some great Key Notes at Red Hat Summit for the past few years [1]

He will be coming to town the first week of April and would like to get us all up to speed on the work that We are doing at Red Hat on Mobile Platforms and Frameworks.

The session will be on building html5 mobile apps leveraging JBoss Developer Framework(JDF) [2] and Aerogear[3]

This will be an interesting JBUG session for anybody currently developing Rich Web Applications leveraging Java EE 6.

Information on the location and web conference details as We get closer to the event date.

Here is the updated Agenda that will be lead by the Special Guest Burr Sutter:

            The JBoss Mobile Story

Today, you can build mobile web apps leveraging HTML5 frontend with a JAX-RS backend.   Based on EAP6 or EAP6+WFK.  We have basic support in JBDS for this development model.  With JBDS 7 investing much more heavily in this space.

Tomorrow, you can build mobile apps, leveraging Aerogear which is working to provide the following:

a - JS components used that work with Apache Cordova (aka Phonegap) - take your mobile web app, make it a mobile app

            b - A native iOS library

            c - A native Android library

d - These client-side libraries plus an Aerogear-backend are to enable: secured data sync and push notification
