Custom Properties with JBoss Admin Console

I want to set a custom properties (ex: a mail server address), and I want to be able to modifiy it without modify any properties file but using Jboss Admin Console (I'm using Jboss 6.1) .

How can I solve this problem?

Support for configuration property substitution is on tap for 0.5. Here are two relevant JIRAs:

We don't do anything specific with the AS 6.1 console and will focus our effort on the AS 7 console for properties support.
