    Hi,

    I am at this tutorial: http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/javaee/ecommerce/connect-db.html .

I am very confused. I read in some places on the internet that i have to put the mysql-ds.xml file in server/all/deploy location, in other places says that i have to put it in server/default/deploy file. Which one is correct? Somewhere I read that I have to delete the hsqldb-ds.xml file from server/all/deploy location. I have done that, but still doesn't work.

The entire message displayed when I start the server is:

    Hi Roxana Munteanu,

"...I read in some places on the internet that i have to put the mysql-ds.xml file in server/all/deploy location, in other places says that i have to put it in server/default/deploy file"

    Server Home: $JBOSS_HOME\server/default/

Notice the “default” in the paths above? It means you are running the  “default” server, so your  mysql-ds.xml should be under $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy. You place it under the “all/deploy” directory if you are running the “all” server option.

    Anyway, here are some pointers:

Don't forget (in the  $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy directory) to rename hsqldb-ds.xml to (say)  hsqldb-ds.xml.bak or even delete it.

Also crossscheck your mysql-ds.xml  with the 'reference' copy of mysql-ds.xml  in $JBOSS_HOME/docs/examples/jca to satisfy yourself that you are doing the right thing.

    Cheers!

Try dropping the resource-ref section in web.xml and the jdbc/ prefix in the persistence.xml jndi-name
