We are writing on an article about the JBoss AS6
Out of curiosity, is that an internal article or something that you are planning to publish externally?

lion78at Dec 10, 2010 11:01 AM (in response to lion78at)Another question: Will JBoss AS 6.0.0.GA fulfill the complete EJB 3.1 specification (I think so) or just the EJB 3.1 Lite specification?

4. Re: Java EE 6 Compliance of JBoss AS 6.0.0.GA
shelly.mcgowan Dec 15, 2010 6:20 PM (in response to lion78at)JBoss AS 6.0.0.Final release is targeting Java EE 6 Web Profile compliance as Jaikiran mentioned. The main reason to focus on the technologies that comprise Web Profile is it meets the needs for the class of applications developed by our community. Focusing on Web Profile for the AS 6.0.0.Final release was also due in part how we prioritized our community releases as we also started development on Application Server 7. In addition to the required technologies of the Web Profile, JBoss AS 6.0.0.Final will offer additional technologies such as Java API for RESTFul WebServices (RESTEasy 2.1.0.GA) and Java Message Service (HornetQ 2.1.2.Final) in that profile. JBossWS 3.4.1.Final is also planned for inclusion in the release. Many of the remaining technologies in the Java EE 6 Full profile represent legacy technologies that will be implemented as the community demands. EJB 3.1 Lite will be provided as part of the Web Profile, though it is expected that all functions of the EJB 3.1 specification will be available. We are preparing for the code freeze this week. Stay tuned for release notes and enhanced community documentation accompanying the release.
