2. Re: What is the forge2 equivalent to pick-up?
jpoteat Apr 14, 2014 9:38 AM (in response to gastaldi)Thanks but unless I am missing something cd would just change the directory. I am inside the forge2 shell and operating on an entity I now want to change to another existing entity. In the previous version of forge this was accomplished by the pick-up command.

gastaldi Apr 14, 2014 9:52 AM (in response to jpoteat)Hi Jason,
"cd" should work for any available resource (files, .java,.xml,.json, etc).
Best Regards,
George Gastaldi

4. Re: [forge-users] What is the forge2 equivalent to pick-up?
jpoteat Apr 14, 2014 10:21 AM (in response to gastaldi)Thanks for your help on this, I never would have thought to use cd to select an Entity.
Running the Forge2 shell command "command-list" gives this description of the cd command
...
Shell > cd - Change the current directory
....
My 2 cents is that this over loading of the cd command is confusing and doesn't match the concept of Holding something.
That being said I love the tool and am appreciative of your quick response.
Thanks,
Jason Poteat

5. Re: [forge-users] What is the forge2 equivalent to pick-up?
gastaldi Apr 14, 2014 10:18 AM (in response to jpoteat)No problem. You can create an alias for cd if you want:
alias pick-up=cd
