1. Re: Multiple JBoss 6 server runtimes overwrite each other's Home Directory
maxandersen Jun 11, 2012 6:04 PM (in response to jdima)If I understand your question correctly you need two different runtimes setup, one for each server.
Thus that is exactly what you need to do - when creating the second server don't just select the same runtime but create a new runtime with a different name.

jdima Jun 12, 2012 9:36 AM (in response to maxandersen)I have 2 runtimes in the same workspace with different names. The problem is that every time I update one Runtime's Home directory, it set the new value in both runtimes.
I can get around the issue by creating a new workspace for each runtime, but I'd like to run them both from the same workspace.

3. Re: Multiple JBoss 6 server runtimes overwrite each other's Home Directory
maxandersen Jun 12, 2012 10:19 AM (in response to jdima)From your description you only have 2 servers setup with 1 runtime.
See this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/MndDPrYdRzY
That is me creating a second server, and if I just press Ok/Apply here it will use the same runtime.
To get a second runtime I need to press Add.. to setup a second runtime with different home directory.

jdima Jun 12, 2012 10:24 AM (in response to maxandersen)I have 2 runtimes and 2 servers, server per runtime. The problem is that every time I update one Runtime's Home directory, it set the new value in both runtimes.

maxandersen Jun 12, 2012 10:39 AM (in response to jdima)I've just reproduced - sorry, I must have chosen different server types the first time around.

rob.stryker Jun 12, 2012 11:59 PM (in response to maxandersen)My research indicates this is merely a UI bug, and that the two servers do in fact have different values underneath (and when starting them, check launch config args). check jira for updates.
