1. Re: How to compress the index store space?
sannegrinovero Feb 24, 2012 9:47 AM (in response to nkzhangni)[...] using lucene index and store using compress mode in file system.
What do you mean with "compress mode" ? You are storing the values in the index using the
Store.COMPRESS
option on org.hibernate.search.annotations.Field ?When i put 80 entries, the index store space is 80K, if I have 1TB entries, the space will be 1TB K(1000G), it is so large.
Assuming you are not literally using
Store.COMPRESS
on fields but only indexing them, then the storage space will not grow linearly with the amount of entries. -

Store.COMPRESS, and the store space is test in this situation.
Is there other way to compress the store space?

3. Re: How to compress the index store space?
sannegrinovero Feb 27, 2012 5:12 AM (in response to nkzhangni)why are you storing values in the index? Isn't it more convenient to load objects from Infinispan?

nkzhangni Feb 27, 2012 7:31 AM (in response to sannegrinovero)Sorry, I didn't say clearly.
the key value is stored in infinispan.
The store space I said is used to store lucene index.

5. Re: How to compress the index store space?
sannegrinovero Feb 27, 2012 7:36 AM (in response to nkzhangni)What I meant is that since you are storing the values in Infinispan, you don't need to use
Store
You don't have to Store fields to be able to search them.
