Hi. I am trying to use wsprovide through the maven-jaxws-tools-plugin. I am using Indigo SR1, JBoss Maven Integration 1.3.0 and have declared jboss-jaxws-api_2.2_spec as a dependency. Following is from my pom (also attached):
I get the following error in eclipse:
"Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle configuration: org.jboss.ws.plugins:maven-jasws-tools-plugin:1.1.0.GA: wsprovide(execution: default, pahse:process-classes)"
And when I run from the command line the plugin does not get run.
Any help would be appreciated.
pom.xml 5.3 K
Looking at your pom.xml configuration you are attempting to use the 1.1.0.GA version of maven-jaxws-tools-plugin. It does not exist in the jboss plugins repository.
You need to change the version to
Check you have this plugin repository in your Maven settings.xml file.
Yes you are right. I should have updated my settings.xml. For others these pages provide valuable information.
This Eclipse error simply means that the m2e Eclipse plugin does not know how to map "significant" events in the IDE (like clean project, saving files, etc.) to the goals defined by the plugin. For example, when you save the pom.xml file, the m2e plugin re-builds the project. If you do a "quick fix" (ctrl-1) on the error, you can permanently mark the goal as ignored in your Eclipse build. Eclipse does this by adding a section to your pluginManagement inside your pom.xml. This means that Eclipse will not attempt to run any goals in this plugin, and you will have to do it outside of the Eclipse environment.
