1. Re: How to set width to "portal page" when editing portal layout in epp 5.2 with sp
mvanco Jan 13, 2012 3:40 PM (in response to rory8000)Hi Rory,
very good question. I found out that only way to change portal page width is changing one stylesheet class at
gatein.ear/01eXoResources.war/skin/DefaultSkin/portal/webui/component/control/UIWorkspace/Stylesheet.css
There is a hardcoded width at
.UIWorkingWorkspace .UIPageBody {
...
width: 978px; (same width as width of background image at home page template)
}
Let's change this value to 100% for example and then the page will adapt your layout (for example what you are expecting at your screenshot).
And one detail, current homepage portlet contains background image of fixed width so that it will broken in your case as well.
I recommend you to update/create your own home page template - you can do so at
gatein.ear/02portal.war/templates/groovy/webui/component/UIHomePagePortlet.gtmpl
or use extension do overwrite this default groovy template.
And I think we can create an issue not to have page width hard-coded.
I hope this helps
Michal
