alesj Dec 8, 2011 5:30 PM (in response to ronorato)It's not trivial, but it's doable:

ronorato Dec 8, 2011 9:05 PM (in response to alesj)I was under the impression that it was easy to swap out the web server used by JBoss. I assume that is nolonger the case. Would it be easier to try and use both Jetty and JBoss Web Services together. I could have Jetty listen on another port and have it just handle the Comet requests.

ronorato Dec 12, 2011 6:07 AM (in response to alesj)What WebServer does JBoss AS 7 use? I know at one time it used Tomcat, but I am not sure if that is still true for AS 7.

5. Re: Jetty and JBoss AS 7
ronorato Dec 12, 2011 10:40 PM (in response to jaikiran)That link was what I was looking for. I still have a question though. I have created a simple servlet that implements HttpEventServlet and I have added the necessary elements to my web.xml file. I update my main web page to establish the cometd connection on page load. I see my trace statements show up in the browser console, but I do not see the call hit the server. So the question is, do I need to configure a JBoss connector to be able to use the HttpEventServlet? If so, is there an example configuration that you could point me to?

6. Re: Jetty and JBoss AS 7
ronorato Dec 13, 2011 6:31 AM (in response to ronorato)Looks like I figured it out. It appears to be an issue with the way I am using my JavaScript library. After making a few changes to the JavaScript code I am able to see my Event Servlet get invoked.

rmaucher Dec 13, 2011 11:48 AM (in response to ronorato)Comet functionality should use the Servlet 3 async API.

ronorato Dec 13, 2011 4:05 PM (in response to rmaucher)So how does one make use of this API? I am assuming this is one of those questions I am going to look stupid for asking, but time is not really on my side.

ronorato Dec 13, 2011 9:58 PM (in response to ronorato)Never mind. I figured out I was already configured to use Servlet version 3.0.
