1. Re: Getting error in deploying VDB war file
tejones Nov 9, 2011 9:18 AM (in response to smehrotra)Sachin,
The generated war is compatible with JBossWS-CXF 3.2.* - 3.3.*. We have not added support for JBossWS-CXF 3.4.* as of yet. Try installing 3.3.1 to your JBoss instance.
Thanks,
Ted

smehrotra Nov 11, 2011 12:15 AM (in response to tejones)Hi Ted,
I am still getting the same issue with JBossWS-CXF 3.3.1. I have also reinstalled the JBoss server and Teiid Engine before installing JBoss-CXF 3.3.1.
Attached the server log file
Thanks,
Sachin

tejones Nov 11, 2011 10:30 AM (in response to smehrotra)Sachin,
I was able to recreate your exception using your generated WAR. I have some questions though... it looks like you created an invoke() procedure and generated a web service model from create and extract procedures? This is not the recommended modeling approach. If you are trying to consume a web service, you should use the WSDL to Relational importer and use invoke().
See: http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/JBoss_Developer_Studio/4.1/html/Teiid_Designer_User_Guide/wsdl-to-relational-import-section.html and https://community.jboss.org/people/jdoyle/blog/2010/10/04/modeling-soap-services-with-teiid-designer.
The WAR generation is intended for creating a web service to consume relational data (using Source and/or View tables). Can you please outline your use case and I can give you some guidance in that respect? Also, we recently opened up the web service model generation process to allow for more model types and it seems like you have hit a use case that we should not expose. Please create a Jira with the steps you used to generate the web service models so we can close this path and prevent future users from going down the same avenue.
Thanks,
Ted

4. Re: Getting error in deploying VDB war file
smehrotra Nov 11, 2011 10:58 AM (in response to tejones)Hi Ted,
I am first using Wsdl to relational Importer and when the physical and view model are created by this step, right click on the model and selected create web service model option and from this web service model i have generated the war file.
My use case is to consume external web service through teiid and then expose it through Teid web service feature, i am exposing the web service as it is i.e creating a proxy over the external web service via Teiid web service.
Thanks,
Sachin

tejones Nov 11, 2011 2:16 PM (in response to smehrotra)Sachin,
Ok... I see where you are going with this. You are missing a step on the WSDL to Relational piece though. You need to create a procedure (or procedures) that uses the create and execute procedures. You can then generate a web service model using that procedure. For an example of a procedure that uses the create/execute, see the blog I pointed you to (part 2). You can also download the States example from here: http://www.jboss.org/teiiddesigner/downloads/examples.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Ted

smehrotra Nov 14, 2011 7:48 AM (in response to tejones)Hi Ted,
I am still getting the same issue even following steps mentioned in your blog part1 and part2, on the generated View model i have right clicked and selected option 'create web service' and from the genrated WS model i have created VDB and then the war file.
I can hit external web service on the generated Relational View model using JDBC apprach.
Attached is the war file.
Thanks,
Sachin

It deploys correctly for me. When you say you are getting the same error, do you mean you can't deploy it?
Thanks,
Ted

tejones Nov 16, 2011 11:35 AM (in response to smehrotra)Sachin,
The only difference I see in our environments is the CXF version. I am using 3.1.2.SP9 (which is the default version installed with SOA-P) and you are using 3.3.1.GA. Try installing 3.1.2.SP9 and see if you can deploy. I have tested successfully with 3.* versions in the past, but this may be an exceptional use case.
Thanks,
Ted
