rich:toolTip for datatable row

How do I attach a rich:toolTip component to a datatable row? So I don't have to copy the code in every column tag.

Hi depy, the online-demo show an example for this case:

But if you want it a little bit easier, e.g. showing the tooltip for an image/similar text eg. you can add simple rich:toolTip inside rich:column
<rich:toolTip styleClass="tooltip" ...add your needed attributes here...value="My important message for you">

I know I can do that. But I want the tooltip for the whole row. I dont want to copy past code for each column. Is there no other way?

Hi depy, sorry for misreading. Don't know if it's possible - have you tried to put some container around the whole row e.g a4j:outputPanel with an id and assign tooltip to this id with for attribute of tooltip?

I'm not at home therefore I can't try what's the result of this....

You can use onRowMouseOver and onRowMouseOut events of dataTable and show tooltip using either rich:componentControl or calling JS API directly.
