1. Re: axis version in upcoming 3.0.1
dward2 Jul 8, 2002 2:06 PM (in response to dward2)I'll give it a try; thanks.
It would be a good time to upgrade to beta3, considering it has just been released (as of last night):

Thanks again,

scharlau Jul 9, 2002 6:09 AM (in response to dward2)David,
you can open up jboss-net.sar and swap the axis.jar in it with the newer beta2 one from an axis distro. I've done this successfully with a version I've built from cvs.
I also tried building the cvs version using the newer axis.jar, but that throws up a few errors.
I'm told by C Jung who is doing the JBoss.Net stuff that he is working on aspects that use the newer mehods, so at some point the newer (possibly axis-beta3?) will be used.
cheers

dward2 Jul 10, 2002 4:06 PM (in response to dward2)Sorry for all the duplicate posts, here. For some reason my browser (mozilla 1.0) must have been caching the page pre-my-posts and I didn't know they were making it in...

scharlau Jul 11, 2002 10:27 AM (in response to dward2)David,
Before you get too carried away with swapping the axis.jar files, remember this:
I just discovered that using the beta2 jar that I couldn't connect my web services to any EJBs. I always got a 'no such operation ...' error. As soon as I swapped back to the beta1 jar, everything worked ok.
In the sourceforge mail list one of the developers, said that he hoped to be able to integrate axis-beta3 into JBoss.NET next week, if he had enough time.
Cheers,

javeednizami Jul 30, 2002 6:09 PM (in response to dward2)Can you give a timeline for when this might be done. I don't mean to be pushy. I am stuck with a problem that I have traced to the axis beta 1 release, and I have been hoping to get over that as soon as you can make this change.
