kirupakaran Dec 13, 2003 8:38 PM (in response to ivelin.ivanov)Hello,
I'm a keen Java programmer and I'm interested in contributing to the project.
I've been bumming around the world for some time now so I'm looking to get back on top of my game with something 'relatively straightfoward'. Can you suggest an area that would start me off on the right track?

daebear Dec 13, 2003 8:38 PM (in response to ivelin.ivanov)Yes, you can help with QA.
Take a look at our new TestSuite tool. Evaluate it and tell us what you can improve.
http://testsuite.jboss.com/
One specific area we are looking for help is benchmarking. We would like to add automated benchmarking tests to our suite.
For example setup, execute and include results from jAppServer2004
into our testsuite.
http://www.specbench.org/osg/jAppServer2004/
The JBoss testsuite tool is designed in such a way that results can be contributed remotely. This will allow tests to be reported from teams using various OS and JVM platforms into one repository.

syeda Mar 27, 2004 11:41 PM (in response to ivelin.ivanov)Hi,
I would like to contribute to the project, but first I need to familiarize myself with the current code. I have downloaded Jboss 3.2 from pserver but it's build paths are sort of messed up and some required folders (e.g. aop) are missing.
Which branch should I download from CVS for (browsing only)?
Regards,

berlinbrown Jul 4, 2004 8:16 PM (in response to ivelin.ivanov)But I thought you guys were done with 3.2.X, except for bug-fixes and performance speedups? Maybe I should go with 4.x development, start fresh.

ivelin.ivanov Jul 5, 2004 12:55 AM (in response to ivelin.ivanov)Ideally the changes to the build and test system should apply to both. We will maintain 3.2 for a long time.
