    Details

Git is a free, open source, distributed version control system created by Linus Torvalds. It is designed to handle projects of all sizes with speed and efficiency. It is rapidly gaining traction and most projects in JBoss  are now using it. Every Git clone is a full-fledged repository with complete history and full revision tracking capabilities and thus is not dependent on network access or a central server. This gives the developer the ability to work stand alone and sync up when convenient, faster updates and much greater flexibility.

This session will follow the popular workshop format, so please bring your laptop so you can take part in the practical part of the talk. To ease setup you should install Git and setup an account on github.com, but it's not mandatory, we can help you to do so during the workshop.

If you have any questions you wish to ask before the workshop ask them here.

The Talk will be followed by Refreshments and General Discussion

    Break up about 8:30.
