How to create a Daylight Savings (DST) environment in JBoss(For Testing Quartz Jobs fire time)

Hello everyone,

I want to create a Daylight Savings environment in my JBoss Server.

I have designed some Quartz Jobs. I am using Simple Triggers to fire my jobs after reading Daylight Savings topic at http://www.quartz-scheduler.org/documentation/best-practices

I want to test my jobs creating a DST environment inside my JBoss. Please tell me how to acheive this task.

You just have to use the correct http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/TimeZone.html for testing.

Hello Jaikiran,

Thanks for replying.

If I change the TimeZone I can only move to a couple of hours forward or backward. I want to create a DST environment. For that I have to move to Sunday March 11, 2012 2:00:00 AM, and November 4, 2012 2:00:00 AM

Please tell me how I can change my server timings or trick JVM by moving to the above mentioned timings.
