Just wondering aloud.. Hey agori you may have a solution here. Make it in Jboss AS and port it over to tomcat ? run both servers on different ports.

I haven't done that myself yet but the place i would start is look at the build.xml file in the root folder of seam distribution, it has deploy and deploytomcat. that's how i would pack.

But you bring up a good topic to write a document on. Maybe I should play with seam-gen and porting it to tomcat and write something up. Let me give it a thought after work tonight.

Being that the jboss microcontainer has limited support for jboss-seam (and it's been argued that it's actually jboss-seam that has limited support for jboss microcontainer), perhaps a howto should be compiled.

Jay is working on some top notch documentation for Seam on different servers at the moment. He's currently updated oc4j, just finishing off weblogic, and will do Websphere and then Tomcat. This will include both how to deploy an app to the server, and how to convert over a seam-gen app.

OC4J and Weblogic should hopefully be in 2.0.1, and then Websphere in perhaps a month, and Tomcat a few weeks after that.
