How to develop Human Tasks?

Chapter 6 doesn't give me a clear enough idea for developing Human Tasks. It's not clear to me when to use what. I will define the process before the application is coded. I want to do this in 2 or 3 stages. First how do I define a process with Human Tasks when I am only testing the process in Eclipse? Second, how do I add a temporary UI for Human Tasks like you have in the demo? Third how do I then integrate with the webapp when it's ready? The webapp will be GWT but I plan to call jBPM from the server instead of making REST calls from the client.

Hi Gary,

To develop your own interface, we are developing a framework called smart tasks:
https://github.com/Salaboy/smart-tasks

One of its modules, smart-tasks-form-builder is indended to make it really easy to develop a task management interface, having transparent access to the task server and giving enough flexibility for your interfaces.

What will be the best starting point when 5.1 is released. jBPM chapter 6 or Smart Tasks or Emergency Services. I develop on a Mac and will use GWT as a client.

Hi Gary,

I would say you have to know chapter 6 in order to know how it will works. Emergency Service is a good demo, and now it was a web task client with uses smart tasks, so that you can see how it can help it. The example can be found at:
