1. Re: jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
koen.aers Dec 7, 2010 6:10 AM (in response to ssingamrao)Hi Srikanth,
This is really a user question, so it's better to ask it on the User Forum. Nevertheless, can you give us some more information about the behaviour that you see and the exact platform you are using? OS, Java version, jBPM version, stacktrace, error message, etc...
Regards,
Koen

krisverlaenen Dec 17, 2010 10:52 AM (in response to ssingamrao)Could you check if you see something in the server logs?
jbpm-installer/jboss-4.2.3.GA/server/default/log/boot.log and server.log
You by any chance have some other server running on port 8080?
(preventing this one to get started)
You can probably check by navigating to http//localhost:8080/

5. jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
stellina_rosa Apr 5, 2011 4:26 AM (in response to ssingamrao)Hi. I have your same problem and I'm using :
OS - Windows 7
Java Version - 1.6.0
jBPM Version - 5
Error Message: jboss did not start within 5 minutes.
I can't understand why..... I thought that probably there were another server on port 8080, so after the post of Kris I have navigate to http//localhost:8080/ and it said me that Google Chrome can't access http... Itryed with Mozilla and the result was the same.
I controlled the path of JAVA_HOME and I think it's right ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\bin) , I controlled the path of ANT_HOME and it's ok..... I don't understand!!!!
I'm sure that this is not a problem of Jbpm5.. it is a problem of jboss... could anyone help me???
in what way I can see if jboss is "open" ???

7. jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
heathcliff Apr 27, 2011 7:54 AM (in response to dennislivera)Ive had the same situation. I solved it by finding the service that Ive meanwhile installed, it used that port. So search for a app that uses jboss port.

10. Re: jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
harjotnarula09 May 17, 2011 5:33 PM (in response to damimax)check if the build.xml in the root folder has your OS (Windows 2008 server) defined in the target named start.jboss. If not, add it there and try. Otherwise check if any java processes are already running, try killing them.

11. Re: jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
heathcliff May 18, 2011 1:01 AM (in response to damimax)First run the jboss manualy. This will show You console output that may be very helpfull. Its possible that jboss doesnt have enough rights to do sth or one of ports its using is already occupied.

damimax May 18, 2011 4:14 PM (in response to harjotnarula09)Harjot, thanks for the help. Adding Windows 2008 server as follows in the build.xml does not work.
os="Windows 7,Windows Vista,Windows XP,Windows 2000,Windows 2003, Windows 2008 server"
I made it work by removing os="Windows 7,Windows Vista,Windows XP,Windows 2000,Windows 2003" all together.
Cheers!

13. Re: jbpm5 installation - build.xml:470: jboss did not start within 5 minutes
krisverlaenen May 19, 2011 10:33 AM (in response to damimax)I just changed the installer to use osfamily (windows/mac/unix) rather than the os property in the ant exec tasks. This should better support all current and future windows versions without having to list them all.
