1. How can I configure a @Service bean externally
jaikiran Apr 4, 2011 8:27 AM (in response to david_b)You can use jboss.xml (JBoss specific deployment descriptor for EJBs) to configure <service> (the deployment descriptor equivalent of @Service) beans. Take a look at the XSD for jboss.xml for more details of that element.

2. How can I configure a @Service bean externally
david_b Apr 4, 2011 8:44 AM (in response to jaikiran)I've had a look at the jboss.xml schema and there doesn't seem to be anything I can use in there. There's binding/resource/security/etc entries, but nothing like env-entry that would allow me to add my own configuration values.
Unless I'm missing something?

3. How can I configure a @Service bean externally
jaikiran Apr 4, 2011 8:53 AM (in response to david_b)Under the service-beanType check for the jboss:descriptionGroup group. That's where all the resource references including env-entry are grouped.

david_b Apr 4, 2011 9:33 AM (in response to jaikiran)I had another look and the env-entries are actually in jboss:jndiEnvironmentRefsGroup. Don't know how I missed that one
Thanks for the help.

Ah yes, my previous post had a typo. I actually meant jboss:jndiEnvironmentRefsGroup, which you already figured out.
