How to run JBoss

I have installed JBoss Portal, when i try to run run.sh it showing run.jar file is error.

But if i do #java -jar run.jar then service is run, then i can access http://localhost:8080/portal

Any one knows what is wrong with me???????

It will help if you to get a specific answer if you post a bit more information.
- What you have installed
- Do you make changes or start the fresh installation
- the command line how you start run.sh
- the error message or stacktrace

Navigate to the bin folder and try

sh run.sh

or alternatively

./run.sh

If you wer already trying these two, post the full console message. Also the version of JBoss.
