1. Re: Questions about sorce code of jboss visual editor html
vrubezhny Dec 9, 2010 9:58 AM (in response to agunin)Hi, Agustin!
If I understood correctly, you want to extend JBoss HTML Editor with additional Tabs ("Visual/Source - Source - Preview" - are the Tabs (but not "tags") of the editor, and yes the different editors are used inside these Tabs to provide ability to edit/view the file content in some way)...
Currently JBoss HTML Editor cannot be extended in the way you have described. The idea is interresting by itself, but, IMHO, if realized, may cause many issues because we cannot make sure that the editor you want to provide for such extention will not impact the MultiPageEditor functionality and stability. Also, there are toolbars/context menues and many other things that are to be extended when you add some new editor. And while doing such extention you may also face come conflicts.
BTW, what kind of editor you're going to add to the JBoss HTML Editor?
Best Regards,
Victor Rubezhny

agunin Dec 9, 2010 10:44 AM (in response to vrubezhny)Hello , thanks for response!
1) First, I need the html editor to work with custom tags, for example:
<input event = "start"> </ input>
THE event is custom attribute.
2) Now I need to add a new editor to edit this event.
No answer for each item?

mareshkau Dec 9, 2010 10:51 AM (in response to agunin)Hi Agustin,
#1) to add possibility of processing custom tags and attributes we are using templates mechanizm. For example you can see source code for RichFaces processing https://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/jsf/plugins/org.jboss.tools.jsf.vpe.richfaces/
#2) I don't understand this question, could you clarify?

mareshkau Dec 9, 2010 11:35 AM (in response to mareshkau)By the way, much better and easy add extra view(for edition editor selection component details) to eclipse than add one more tab for editor.

9. Re: Questions about sorce code of jboss visual editor html
vrubezhny Dec 10, 2010 7:41 AM (in response to agunin)If you already performed checkout for the repository (http://community.jboss.org/message/575216#575216) then the path for JBoss HTML editor would be <Your trunk folder>/jst/plugins/org.jboss.tools.jst.jsp/src/org/jboss/tools/jst/jsp/jspeditor/JSPMultiPageEditor.java
You have to import org.jboss.tools.jst.jsp plug-in to view/edit some code. But, IMHO, you need to create your own plug-in and your own editor extending JSPMultiPageEditor.
