JNDI DB Connections Reconnect or not

We have a JBOSs 4.2.1 GA server

Problem to be discussed

Application is able to Connect to DB via JNDI [ Normal ] ans not RAC configuration

We would like know will JBOSS re establish JNDI -JDBC pooled connections if for some reason the DB is down for a few sec..

We would NOT like to restart the JBOSS for DB dipping down.

JAVA 1.5

JBOSS4.2.1 GA

OS / Redhat Linux

Add the <check-valid-connection-sql> entry to your *-ds.xml file; it wil cuase the connection to be reestablished in case the connection (or database) goes down.
