HOW TO DEPLOY A working WAR file into JBOSS

Hi,
i'm a newbies to JBOSS 4.0.5 GA and i want to know how can i deploy the war file into the JBOSS.

For instance, i use hello.war file example.What i did was:
1) copy the hello.war into C:\jboss-4.0.5\jboss-4.0.5.GA\server\default\deploy
2) try to access the file via http://localhost:8080/hello/index.html

but "problem loading page" error was appear.
can anyone help me ?

Deja vu! Did my answer (or actually, questions) in the other forum on which you posted this question help? By the way, I prefer to have the discussion there, since we already started it there, and just post the solution here once you get it working.

hi,
As am a fresher please help me to solve this ....
i have deployed the war correctly and in the server log its showing like my war has been deployed ...... but in the browser the endpoint url is not getting genearted....

what is the url your are trying with ? and what does the server log say, can you paste it.

I have the same issue. Trying to deploy a war file in jboss. If I put it in /server/default/deploy and tail my jboss log, it doesn't say that it was deployed. If I put it in /server/default/deploy/OurProject/ and then restart jboss, then it will extract the war file correctly into the tmp* folder.

I should note that we're using jboss 4.0.4 GA
