1. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
jbarrez Feb 2, 2010 4:55 PM (in response to akstifr)Hava you tried running 'ant demo.setup.tomcat' in the /install folder? That sets up a tomcat with jbpm/console installed. -
2. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
akstifr Feb 2, 2010 11:42 PM (in response to jbarrez)Thank you for your reply.
As I have already stated that am using jbpm 4.0 and in that there is no install directory as such in it.
It has the following directories:
db, doc, examples, src, migration, gpd, lib, jboss
and files are:
readme, jbpm.jar, jboss.eula and licence
and the documentation also nothing is mentioned about it as such
http://docs.jboss.com/jbpm/v4/userguide/html_single/#tomcat
i have also tried as given under but it also did not work for me ...
http://community.jboss.org/wiki/JbpmOnTomcatOracle
So how can i install Tomcat with jbpm

3. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
jbarrez Feb 3, 2010 2:35 AM (in response to akstifr)Right. I didn't read you were using jbpm 4.0. Why are you using a version that is more than 6 months old? If I recall correctly, 4.0 had indeed no tomcat support.
My advise is to use latest version (4.3), which has the tomcat install scripts available: see http://docs.jboss.com/jbpm/v4/userguide/html_single/#gettingstartedquickly

4. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
akstifr Feb 3, 2010 4:04 AM (in response to jbarrez)Thank you once again for suggestions but
As we have developed our application using jbpm 4.0 and for testing we used jboss 5.0
but now we want to move the application from jboss to Tomcat 5.5 in real time. So i am looking for tomcat setup.
Is it possible to move the application from jbpm 4 to jbpm 4.3 without any issues or will it have any incomparability with the versions of jar files or dependency problem arises??
Whether a application developed in jbpm4.3 can be deployed on Tomcat 5.5 or it requires Tomcat 6.0 or higher version??

5. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
akstifr Feb 4, 2010 2:24 AM (in response to akstifr)The above said problem is also observed in Tomcat 5.5 with jbpm 4.3 also
Feb 1, 2010 5:07:28 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start
SEVERE: Error listenerStart
Feb 1, 2010 5:07:28 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start
SEVERE: Context [/gwt-console-server] startup failed due to previous errors
Can anyone give any inputs why this is happing???

7. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0
sebastian.s Feb 5, 2010 2:53 PM (in response to akstifr)The console servlet did not start because there were previous problems as stated in the log. So this is not a problem with jBPM I would say. Regarding moving from jBPM 4.0 to 4.3: There are update scripts supplied. But I have not had a closer look at these. -

10. Re: How to configure jbpm 4.0 on Tomcat 6.0 +Tomcat 5.5
kukeltje Feb 7, 2010 3:56 AM (in response to chrigar)That it is a question I understand (it has a questionmark at the end). Since I'm not a native english speaker and I only know false positives from statistics, I just want to know what you meant by this question. Like 'is it something that should not have happened?' or ....

akstifr Feb 8, 2010 1:18 AM (in response to kukeltje)As still am facing problem to configure my application in the tomcat 6.0 of application developed in jboss4.0
What are the things that we have to mention in the jboss-web.xml file inoder to run the application in jboss sever as we use web.xml file in tomcat server and where is file have to be located in the server folder.
