1. Re: Firefox a4j:push FireFox/Mozilla problem
prettymama Dec 19, 2007 5:10 AM (in response to joselitol)Hi, I have similar problem with a4j:push from ajax4jsf 1.1.1 and Firefox 2.0.10.
Page works fine in IE, but when I switch to Firefox, nothing happens. Just error in error console:
"Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Not enough arguments" nsresult: "0x80570001 (NS_ERROR_XPC_NOT_ENOUGH_ARGS)" location: "JS frame :: http://localhost:8090/project/a4j.res/org.ajax4jsf.framework.ajax.AjaxScript.faces :: anonymous :: line 50" data: no]"
But there's another thing. When I'm accessing page in Firefox with enabled FireBug, everything is OK. After its disabling, exception appears. I've spent some time searching the Internet and found this link: http://www.ajaxlines.com/ajax/stuff/article/how_hard_is_ajax_coding.php which describes same behavior. The error line has this statement:request.send();
That's exactly as in that page.
So, is there any workaround? Or should this be considered as bug? -

balteo Dec 19, 2007 12:50 PM (in response to joselitol)I think it could be considered as a bug and I have reported it on the dev forum. Many people have encountered it before us...

alexsmirnov Dec 20, 2007 3:35 PM (in response to joselitol)Yes, it is really s bug in the JavaScript. - for a Firefox 2.x.x , XMLHttpRequest.send() method needs one argument even for a null value.
I am using Firefox Firebug extension for a testing/debug client-side scripts. This exception does not occur if the FireBug extension is enabled !
